The Caffeinated Librarian

Not too long ago, Dana asked me for some music suggestions, which is not too unusual a request since I am the Queen of the Mix, the Maven of Music. Only this time I had no suggestions because I haven't listened to anything new iiiiiiiiin........so long that I can't remember when.

How did this happen? Well, this and this probably contributed since I've been up to my eyeballs in 80s music. And before THAT the Monkees mix and now, for the true low point, tonight I'm making my mom a copy of a cd of The Limeliters, which I put together one weekend using this new contraption she has that burns cds from records. I bet most of you don't even know who The Limeliters were, do you? Let's just say they were a 1960s folk group and leave it at that, shall we?

All these wanderings down memory lane have been just dandy for the last few months, but I'm ready for a change. I'd like to be able to listen to something in my car that doesn't make me feel like I should be driving a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle to a knitters club meeting followed by a riveting game of shuffle board.

In short, I'd like to feel young again. That's where you all come in - I know some of you are into music too, so tell me what you've been listening to. There's only one criteria: the cd can't have been released more than two years ago. I like just about everything, so genre doesn't matter much.

Please, help me before I'm facing a fate worse than death! (AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!)
